Both of these Hondas have 123.9-124.9 cc engines and four-speed gearboxes - yet they are built for different worlds. The Future 125 FI is the long-distance road underbone; the CT125 is the adventure-styled Cub. Honda VN’s published specifications (retrieved 23 September 2026) show the split clearly.

Engines

Future 125 FI: 124.9 cc, air-cooled, 6.83 kW at 7,500 rpm, 10.2 Nm at 5,500 rpm. CT125: 123.9 cc, air-cooled, 6.76 kW at 6,250 rpm, 10.9 Nm at 4,750 rpm. Near-identical outputs, but the CT’s torque arrives 750 rpm lower and its power peaks 1,250 rpm lower - delivery tuned for rough ground rather than highway cruising.

Capability

Future: 133 mm ground clearance, 1,931 mm long, 756 mm seat, 104 kg, 70/90-17 front and 80/90-17 rear. CT: 165 mm clearance - the highest in Honda’s listed underbone range - 800 mm seat, 117 kg, 80/90-17 tyres both ends, rack styling for luggage. On gravel and flooded rural tracks the CT is unambiguously the better tool; our gravel-road riding guide explains the techniques it rewards.

Fuel and economy

Future: 1.47 L/100 km - Honda’s thriftiest listed underbone - from 4.6 litres. CT: 1.61 L/100 km from a bigger 5.4-litre tank, giving the CT the longer rough-road range. Manufacturer figures; real use varies.

Price

Future: from 30,622,909 VND. CT125: 85,997,455 VND. Neither is price-published in our rental fleet - contact us to confirm current availability. Commuters take the Future; explorers take the CT.
