Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of Nguyen Tu Motorbike Guide at en.rentbikehanoi.com/, the English-language motorbike knowledge hub published by Hanoi Motorbike Rental Nguyen Tu. By using the site you accept these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

What these terms cover

These are the terms for using this informational website: its articles, FAQ, topic pages, Guide Assistant and contact links. They are not the motorbike rental contract. A rental agreement, when one is made, is agreed separately and directly between you and Hanoi Motorbike Rental Nguyen Tu, and the terms you agree with the business at that time govern the rental — not this page.

Informational purpose

The site publishes guides about motorbike rental in Hanoi, scooter and motorcycle models, 50cc and electric bikes, maintenance, parts and accessories, riding skills, safety, Vietnamese licence and traffic rules, Hanoi travel and motorbike trips from Hanoi. All of this content is informational. It is written to help you understand the subject and make better decisions, not to serve as a booking system, a legal opinion or a repair manual.

The intended readers are visitors, expats, foreign teachers, international students, long-term residents and anyone researching motorbikes in Vietnam before arriving. Where a guide touches on the rental business itself — prices, deposits, delivery practice — it describes the business's current approved practice at the time of publication, subject to the points in the sections below.

No legal advice

Vietnam's traffic laws, licence requirements, fines and vehicle classifications change over time. Our legal guides are reviewed against primary sources — Vietnamese legislation, government and ministry publications, and official treaty information — and carry review dates, but they are explanatory writing, not legal advice.

Legal guides on this site do not replace the authorities, the official legislation itself, or professional legal advice where your situation needs it. Before relying on any legal detail — especially licence categories, IDP acceptance or fine amounts — verify the current rules with official sources or the relevant authorities.

Two examples of why this matters. Licence categories in Vietnam are defined by engine capacity and power output, and the boundaries changed with recent legislation; an article summarising them can be out of date the moment a new decree takes effect. Fine amounts are set by government decree and are periodically revised. Our guides carry review information so you can judge how current they are, but verification with official sources remains your responsibility for anything consequential.

Rental enquiries are not bookings

Using any part of this website does not create a rental relationship. Specifically:

A rental exists only once it has been separately agreed between you and Nguyen Tu, including the bike, the period, the deposit and the price. Until then, nothing on this site should be treated as a confirmed rental agreement.

The same applies in reverse: the business may decline a rental, offer a different bike than the one discussed, or attach conditions — for example regarding the deposit — that differ from the general descriptions published here. The conversation you have with the business, and the arrangement you agree to, is what counts.

Availability

Which bikes are physically available changes from day to day. The site deliberately avoids promising any specific vehicle. Where a model is described or shown, contact us to confirm current availability before planning around it.

Prices

Published prices — for example, 150,000–200,000 VND per day depending on the model — reflect owner-approved information at the time it is displayed on the site. Prices may be updated as the business adjusts them. Only the price quoted and confirmed to you as part of an actual rental arrangement applies to your transaction.

Models without a published rate on this site have no published rate for a reason: we do not infer or estimate prices for unlisted vehicles. Ask directly.

Deposits, returns and insurance

Where rental policies are described on this site, they reflect the business's current approved practice:

These are principles, not a contract. The specific agreement you make with the business controls your rental, including the exact deposit, return time and any charges.

Delivery and pickup deserve a specific note: depending on your location in Hanoi and the arrangement made, delivery or pickup may be possible, but it is never guaranteed in advance and is only ever arranged within opening hours (09:00–21:00 daily). Nothing on this site promises free delivery, delivery at a specific time, or delivery outside Hanoi.

Rider responsibility

You are responsible for checking, before you ride in Vietnam:

Reading guides on this site does not transfer any of that responsibility to the site or the business.

Guide Assistant

The Guide Assistant is a client-side retrieval convenience. It can locate relevant published guides and display approved business information such as published rates, the address and opening hours. It is not:

Its answers are limited to published site content and curated approved facts, and it may fall back to pointing you at guides or contact options. For anything that matters — availability, bookings, prices for a specific rental — contact the business directly.

The Assistant also has a deliberate safety behaviour worth knowing: where a legal guide is still under source review, the Assistant says so instead of presenting the details as settled fact. Treat those answers as signposts to read and verify, not as conclusions.

Technical and maintenance information

Maintenance and repair articles are general educational guidance written for riders in Vietnamese conditions. They are not a replacement for manufacturer service documentation or qualified mechanical inspection. Vehicle specifications and service values on this site are either checked against manufacturer sources or deliberately not stated; do not treat any article as a substitute for a workshop manual or a professional mechanic.

In particular, torque values, oil capacities, electrical specifications and service intervals are not guessed on this site. If a guide does not give a number, that is intentional, and you should get the number from the manufacturer's documentation for your specific model. For a rental bike, maintenance is handled between you and the business — report problems rather than dismantling a bike you do not own.

Travel information

Guides about Hanoi and motorbike trips describe conditions as they were understood at the time of writing. Road conditions, closures, weather, ferry schedules, access rules and local restrictions change. Check current conditions before you travel, and plan conservatively in mountainous or remote areas.

Riding outside Hanoi — on mountain passes, rural roads or long-distance routes — carries risks that city riding does not, including limited mechanical help, patchy phone coverage and fast-changing weather. Trip guides on this site are planning inspiration and context, not a guarantee that any route is currently safe, open or suitable for your experience level.

External links and services

The site links to and embeds third-party services: Google Maps on the contact page, WhatsApp and Zalo contact links, our main rental website, government and legal sources, and manufacturer or reference websites. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Following a link or using an embedded map is an interaction between you and that service.

Site content and intellectual property

The original text, design and structure of this website are site content maintained by Nguyen Tu. You are welcome to read, quote briefly and link to it. Official law texts, government publications, third-party trademarks (such as Honda, Yamaha and other manufacturer names) and external-source materials referenced here remain the property of their respective owners, and nothing on this site claims ownership over them. Model names are used descriptively, not as a claim of affiliation.

Website availability

The site may change as it is improved: content may be corrected, updated or expanded, and pages or features may be revised or removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the website.

Reliance on information

The content on this site is provided in good faith and checked where practical, but laws, prices and road conditions change and mistakes can survive review. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept liability for decisions made based solely on the content of this website. Where information matters to your safety or legal position — licences, insurance, riding after drinking, remote-area travel — verify it with the authorities or the business directly before you rely on it.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site evolves. The current version is always the one published on this page; the date of significant changes will be reflected in the page content where useful.
