The CT125 takes the Cub formula and points it at dirt tracks: taller suspension, a big fuel tank, luggage racks and the highest ground clearance of anything in Honda’s Vietnamese underbone range. All figures below come from the official Honda Vietnam CT125 product page (retrieved 23 September 2026).
Engine and gearing
The 123.9 cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine produces 6.76 kW at 6,250 rpm and 10.9 Nm at just 4,750 rpm - the lowest-rpm torque peak in this range, which is exactly what you want for crawling up gravel inclines with luggage. The transmission is a four-speed with electric start; bore and stroke are 50.0 x 63.1 mm, compression 10.0:1.
Range and consumption
The tank is 5.4 litres - the largest of any Honda underbone sold in Vietnam - and Honda publishes 1.61 litres per 100 km. That is well over 300 km of theoretical range, the reason overlanders like this bike. Real-world consumption varies with terrain and load.
Chassis: the adventure numbers
Kerb weight is 117 kg. The seat sits at 800 mm - the tallest in this group - and ground clearance is 165 mm, roughly 30 mm more than a Wave RSX. Dimensions are 1,961 x 805 x 1,085 mm on a 1,258 mm wheelbase, with 17-inch wheels (80/90-17 front, 80/90-17 rear) and twin rear shocks. The extra clearance is what lets the CT125 absorb potholes, farm tracks and flooded lanes that stop a standard underbone.
Who it suits
Riders who leave the tarmac: day trips out of Hanoi, camping runs, rural homestay routes. It is heavier and pricier (85,997,455 VND list, retrieved 23 September 2026) than a functional underbone, so commuters should look at the Future 125 FI instead. Our day-trip and luggage guides cover how to load a bike safely for the riding this machine is built for. Contact us to confirm current availability for rental.
