The Super Cub is the best-selling motorbike design in history, and Honda Vietnam sells the modern 125 cc version as a style icon - priced at 88,353,813 VND list (retrieved 23 September 2026), well above the functional underbones it grew from. Every figure below comes from the official Honda Vietnam Super Cub C125 product page.

Engine and performance

The C125 runs a 123.9 cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine with 6.87 kW at 7,500 rpm and 10.15 Nm at 5,000 rpm - real torque for two-up city riding. Transmission is mechanical with electric start, bore and stroke are 50.0 x 63.1 mm, and the compression ratio is 10.0:1. Honda publishes fuel consumption of 1.55 litres per 100 km from a 3.7-litre tank.

Chassis

Kerb weight is 109 kg, the seat sits at 780 mm, ground clearance is 136 mm, and the low-slung body measures 1,910 x 718 x 1,002 mm on a 1,243 mm wheelbase - notably lower and longer-looking than a Wave or Future. Wheels are 17-inch, 70/90-17 front and 80/90-17 rear, and the rear suspension uses twin shock units.

What you are paying for

Mechanically this is a simple, durable 125 - the numbers are close to the far cheaper Future 125 FI (see our Future review for the comparison). What the extra money buys is the design: the pressed-steel silhouette, the leg shield, the build detailing and the badge. Two versions are listed - Standard and Special. Parts availability for Honda underbones in Vietnam is excellent, though icon-status models attract copy accessories - our genuine versus fake parts guide is worth reading before you buy.

Who it suits

Style-first buyers, classic-design lovers and commuters who want something that never looks out of place in a suit or a dress. For pure transport value, the Future 125 FI or a scooter makes more sense. Contact us to confirm current availability for rental.
