The Future 125 FI is Honda Vietnam’s step-up underbone: more engine, more torque, a bigger tank and a plusher ride than the 110 class, while staying in the easy-riding semi-automatic format. Every figure below comes from the official Honda Vietnam Future 125 FI product page (retrieved 23 September 2026).

Engine and performance

A 124.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke produces 6.83 kW at 7,500 rpm and a healthy 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm - the torque figure is what you feel: two-up launches, bridge climbs and luggage loads strain this engine far less than a 110. The gearbox is a four-speed rotary with kick and electric start, bore and stroke are 52.4 x 57.9 mm, and the compression ratio is 9.3:1.

Economy and range

Honda publishes 1.47 litres per 100 km - the best figure of any Honda underbone on sale in Vietnam - and pairs it with a 4. 6-litre tank, the largest in the class. That is comfortably over 300 km of theoretical range between fuel stops, useful for provincial riding; real-world consumption varies.

Chassis and comfort

The Future is the biggest of Honda’s underbones here: 104 kg kerb, a low 756 mm seat, 133 mm ground clearance and 1,931 x 711 x 1,083 mm bodywork on a 1,258 mm wheelbase. The longer wheelbase and extra 6-8 kg over the 110s translate into steadier high-speed behaviour on arterial roads, at the cost of a little of the 110’s chuckability in alleys.

Versions and price

Honda lists three versions - Standard, Premium and Special - from 30,622,909 VND (list, retrieved 23 September 2026; check current pricing). All share 17-inch wheels, 70/90-17 front and 80/90-17 rear.

Who it suits

Commuters who ride two-up or carry loads, longer-distance riders who want range, and anyone stepping up from a 110 who does not want a scooter. If your priority is a cheap commuter instead, the Wave RSX review covers the fuel-injected 110 option. Contact us to confirm current availability for rental.
