The Lexi 155 and Vario 160 are the two rational buys of the 155-160 class: comfort and equipment on one side, aggressive value on the other. Verified figures from Yamaha Vietnam and Honda Vietnam (retrieved 23 September 2026).

Engine

Near-tie: the Lexi’s 155.1 cc VVA engine makes 11.3 kW at 8,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm; the Vario’s 156.9 cc eSP+ makes 11.3 kW at 8,500 rpm and 14.1 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Both drink about 2.2 litres/100 km (2.19 vs 2.20 published).

Comfort and chassis

The Lexi is built around comfort: 118 kg, a low 768 mm seat, 14-inch wheels, a 1,353 mm wheelbase and 135 mm ground clearance - the stability side of that is explained in our wheelbase guide. The Vario is 118 kg too, with a 778 mm seat, sportier 120/70-14 rear tyre, 138 mm clearance and a 422 mm flat floor.

Practicality

The Vario’s 17.9-litre bay plus flat floor makes it the load carrier; the Lexi’s storage figure was not published on the retrieved page. The Lexi’s 4.2-litre tank is the smallest in the class - the Vario’s 5.5 litres plus similar economy means noticeably longer between stops.

Price

The Lexi lists at 48,900,000 VND (VVA-ABS version); the Vario 160 The thao at 56,690,000 VND with front ABS standard. The Lexi gives you comfort and a low seat for less money; the Vario gives you the flat floor, more storage and sportier styling for more.

Verdict

Commute far in comfort: Lexi. Carry boxes and ride with attitude: Vario. Neither is among Nguyen Tu’s price-published rental models - contact us to confirm current availability.
