The Lexi 155 is Yamaha’s comfort-oriented 155: the same Blue Core VVA engine family as the sporty NVX and premium NMAX, but wrapped in a roomier body with 14-inch wheels and an upright, relaxed riding position. All figures below come from the official Yamaha Motor Vietnam Lexi 155 VVA-ABS product page (retrieved 23 September 2026); anything not published there is left out rather than estimated.
Engine and performance
A 155.1 cc single-cylinder four-stroke, liquid-cooled Blue Core engine with VVA variable valve timing. Official maximum power is 11.3 kW at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque 14.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm - identical headline figures to the NMAX, which is why our Lexi vs NMAX comparison focuses on everything around the engine instead. Published consumption is 2.19 litres/100 km, from the smallest tank in the 155 class at 4.2 litres - worth knowing when planning longer rides; real-world figures vary.
Brakes and wheels
A front hydraulic disc with ABS and a rear drum - front-ABS only, unlike the NMAX’s dual-channel setup (see which scooters have ABS in Vietnam). The wheels are the Lexi’s defining feature: 90/90-14 front and 100/90-14 rear, giving it more stability at speed than the 12- and 13-inch wheels common in the class, a trade-off our wheelbase and stability explainer covers.
Size, weight and comfort
Yamaha lists 118 kg weight, a low 768 mm seat, dimensions 1968 x 719 x 1138 mm, a long 1,353 mm wheelbase and 135 mm ground clearance. That combination - light weight, low seat, long wheelbase, big wheels - is aimed at riders who spend long days in the saddle or carry a pillion regularly.
Equipment and warranty
VVA engine tuning, front ABS, and Yamaha’s published warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first. Yamaha’s list price at retrieval time was 48,900,000 VND for the Lexi 155 VVA-ABS premium version, from 48,500,000 VND across versions. Against Honda’s premium-lite offering, our Lexi vs SH Mode 125 comparison weighs the value trade.
Who it suits
Commuters and weekend riders who want 155-class performance without the aggressive riding position - taller riders in particular get more room than the compact sporty scooters offer. It sits between the Janus/FreeGo budget tier and the NMAX in Yamaha’s own range (mapped in our Yamaha lineup guide).

What to check before you ride one
Brake feel from the front ABS disc, tyre condition on the 14-inch wheels, and the basics in our motorbike safety checklist. Licence classes in Vietnam follow engine capacity - a 155 cc scooter falls under the A1-class rules explained in our licence guides.
