The FreeGo and the Air Blade 125 are the sporty-looking mid 125s that most buyers actually choose between, and they split along a clean line: the FreeGo is the practical sporty scooter, the Air Blade is the sharper Honda. Figures from official Yamaha Vietnam and Honda Vietnam pages (retrieved 23 September 2026); unpublished fields are omitted.

Engine

The FreeGo’s air-cooled Blue Core 124.9 cc makes 7.0 kW at 8,000 rpm and 9.0 Nm at 5,500 rpm, at 2.03 litres/100 km from a 3.9-litre tank. Honda’s Air Blade 125 page did not publish output or economy figures in our retrieval - what is verified is the 125 cc liquid-cooled engine with a coolant temperature warning. The FreeGo quotes its numbers; the Air Blade keeps its mystique.

Practicality

The FreeGo’s flat floor and 25-litre underseat bay make it the cargo tool of the pair. The Air Blade counters with a 23.2-litre bay that fits two half helmets plus a USB-C charge port - Honda’s best-documented storage figure at this level.

Weight and equipment

FreeGo: 100 kg wet, 780 mm seat, smart key on current versions, LED headlight, disc/drum. Air Blade 125: 110 kg kerb, liquid cooling, USB-C. Ten kilograms apart: the FreeGo is the easier bike to wrangle, per our kerb weight table.

Price and renting

FreeGo lists from about 30,340,000 VND. The Air Blade sits above it in Honda’s range; check Honda’s current pricing when buying. Rental note: Nguyen Tu publishes rates for the Honda Air Blade category (200,000 VND day; 800,000 VND week; 1,400,000 VND month); the FreeGo has no published rate - contact us to confirm current availability of either.
