Honda’s own line-up contains both the cheapest way to inject fuel and the cheapest way to reach 9,000 rpm. The Wave RSX and the Winner R share almost nothing except a badge and four-stroke singles - the numbers below come from Honda Vietnam’s official pages (retrieved 23 September 2026).

The core difference

The Wave RSX is a 109.2 cc air-cooled underbone with PGM-FI injection, a four-speed rotary gearbox and a claimed 1.56 L/100 km. The Winner R is a 149.2 cc liquid-cooled sport underbone with a manual clutch, 11.5 kW at 9,000 rpm and a claimed 2.59 L/100 km under the UDC method.

Real-world fuel economy varies with speed, load and conditions.

What it means on the road

The RSX is the thinking rider’s economy bike: injection for clean running, a 4.0-litre tank that Honda’s own claim says should take you roughly 250 km between fills, and a U-box for a half-helmet. The Winner R is about the engine: liquid cooling for sustained high revs, 55 percent more torque, and gearing meant for acceleration rather than economy.

Between them stands a 20.7-million-VND price gap and a 26 kg weight difference - the Winner R is noticeably more motorcycle to manoeuvre at parking speed.

Which one for you?

The Wave RSX is the correct choice for daily cost-per-kilometre riders who still want injected fueling and the Wave badge. The Winner R only makes sense if you want the manual-clutch sport experience - it is a hobby purchase that happens to be practical.
