Both are Hondas with 4.5-litre-class underbone frames, and both carry more than the entry 110s - but they ask completely different things of the rider. The Future 125 FI is a relaxed semi-automatic; the Winner R is Honda’s manual-clutch sport underbone with a racing-derived engine. Honda Vietnam publishes full specifications for both (retrieved 23 September 2026).
The core difference
The Future 125 FI is 124.9 cc, air-cooled, 6.83 kW at 7,500 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5,500 rpm, with a four-speed rotary gearbox - no clutch lever. The Winner R is 149.2 cc, liquid-cooled (Honda’s KC46E engine), 11.5 kW at 9,000 rpm and 13.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, with a manual clutch you operate at every gear change.

Real-world fuel economy varies with speed, load and conditions. Honda notes the Winner R’s claimed figure uses a changed UDC test method versus the 1.98 L/100 km previously published.
What it means on the road
The Future’s party trick is economy: 1.47 L/100 km is the best claimed figure of any bike in this verified range, and its 4.6-litre tank is the largest of the two - it is the range and running-cost champion. Its 756 mm seat is also the lowest here, friendlier to shorter riders.
The Winner R is built around its engine: liquid cooling, 9,000-rpm power peak, a manual clutch and bigger 90/80-17 front and 120/70-17 rear tyres. It costs more to buy and uses around 75 percent more fuel per kilometre than the Future. In exchange it delivers nearly 70 percent more power and a completely different riding experience.
Which one for you?
If most of your riding is commuting and you value low running costs and an easy ride, the Future 125 FI is arguably the most rational underbone in Honda’s range. If you want a manual clutch and sporty engine character and accept the fuel and price penalty, the Winner R is Honda’s answer below the full-fairing CBR150R.
