The Super Cub and the Sirius are the two most famous names in Vietnamese motorcycling - one for being the world’s best-selling design, the other for being everywhere in Vietnam at the lowest possible price. Honda and Yamaha publish full specifications for the current versions (retrieved 23 September 2026).

The core difference

The Sirius RC 110 is a 110.3 cc air-cooled semi-automatic with a four-speed rotary gearbox, at 21,993,000 VND for the alloy-wheel RC version. The Super Cub C125 is a 123.9 cc air-cooled heritage machine with a four-speed gearbox, at 88,353,813 VND. The price gap is the story: the Cub costs four times as much and does not go four times as fast.

What it means on the road

As transport the Sirius is unbeatable: cheapest to buy, simple to fix, 4.2-litre tank, and the RC version adds a front hydraulic disc over the drum version. The Super Cub counters with genuinely better engineering numbers - more power, more torque at the same 5,000 rpm, and a claimed 1.55 L/100 km that is one of the best figures in the verified range.

But nobody buys a Super Cub for the spec sheet. They buy the silhouette, the finish and the history. That is a legitimate reason - just be clear it is styling, not speed, that the extra 66 million dong buys.

Which one for you?

If a motorbike is a tool, buy the Sirius and bank the difference. If the bike is partly a statement and you keep it for years, the Super Cub is the only underbone in Vietnam that looks like its own poster.
