The CT125 and the Sirius RC come from opposite corners of the Vietnamese market: Honda’s trail-styled Cub is a premium weekend machine, while Yamaha’s Sirius is the budget workhorse that competes on price and simplicity. Honda Vietnam and Yamaha Vietnam publish full specs for both (retrieved 23 September 2026).

What it means on the road
The Sirius is the value answer: it costs about a quarter of the CT125, carries 0.7 litres more fuel than Honda’s small underbones, and its RC version adds a front hydraulic disc. It is transport, pure and simple.
The CT125 is expedition equipment: 165 mm of clearance, torque peaked at 4,750 rpm, 80/90-17 tyres at both ends and a claimed 1.61 L/100 km that undercuts the Sirius despite the bigger engine. It is also 17 kg heavier with a tall 800 mm seat that shorter riders should try before committing.
Which one for you?
If the budget is the question, the Sirius RC wins before the test ride starts. If rough roads, tall-seat comfort and weekend range matter more than four times the price, the CT125 has no rival in the verified underbone set.
