This is the 110 cc underbone benchmark in Vietnam: Honda’s fuel-injected sport 110 against Yamaha’s 20-year veteran. All figures come from the official Honda Vietnam and Yamaha Vietnam product pages (retrieved 23 September 2026).
Power and fuelling
Wave RSX: 109.2 cc, PGM-FI electronic fuel injection, 6.46 kW at 7,500 rpm, 8.70 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Sirius: 110.3 cc, 5.9 kW at 8,000 rpm, 9.0 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The Sirius actually posts the higher torque figure at lower revs - strong off-the-line feel - while the RSX makes more power up top and holds the fuelling advantage: PGM-FI means cleaner cold starts and steadier running than the Sirius’s carburettor-style set-up (our carburettor versus fuel injection guide covers what that means day to day).
Economy and range
Honda publishes 1.56 L/100 km for the RSX with a 4.0 L tank; Yamaha publishes 2.08 L/100 km with a 4.2 L tank. On paper the RSX travels meaningfully farther per litre - roughly 250 km per tank against about 200 km - though real-world figures vary with traffic and load.
Weight and size
RSX: 98 kg, 760 mm seat, 1,922 x 709 x 1,082 mm. Sirius: 100 kg wet, 1,890 x 665 x 1,035 mm - narrower and more compact, an advantage when threading Hanoi’s tightest lanes. Both run 17-inch wheels and four-speed rotary gearboxes.
Features and price
The RSX adds a U-box that fits a half-helmet and a 4-in-1 key, and lists at 25,664,727 VND. The Sirius RC alloy-wheel disc version lists at 21,993,000 VND. Drum, disc and alloy Sirius versions spread the price lower still.
Verdict
RSX for technology, economy and storage; Sirius for narrowness, low-rev punch and price. Both families are rental staples - contact us to confirm current availability.
