These two Hondas sit at opposite ends of the riding-skill spectrum: the Super Cub C125 shifts itself through four gears with no clutch lever, while the Winner R is a liquid-cooled 150 with a manual clutch. Honda VN publishes both spec sets (retrieved 23 September 2026).

Engines and transmission

Winner R: 149.2 cc, liquid-cooled (KC46E), 11.5 kW at 9,000 rpm, 13.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, manual clutch. Super Cub: 123.9 cc, air-cooled, 6.87 kW at 7,500 rpm, 10.15 Nm at 5,000 rpm, four-speed semi-automatic. The Winner R makes nearly 70 percent more power - and demands a completely different rider. Our semi-automatic gearbox explainer covers how the Cub’s centrifugal clutch does its work.

Economy

Cub: 1.55 L/100 km from 3.7 litres. Winner R: 2.59 L/100 km (UDC method; Honda notes the method changed from a prior 1.98 figure) from 4.5 litres. Sport costs fuel; both are manufacturer figures.

Size and character

Cub: 780 mm seat, 109 kg, 136 mm ground clearance, classic step-through silhouette. Winner R: 795 mm seat, 124 kg, 153 mm clearance, 17-inch sport tyres (90/80-17 front, 120/70-17 rear). The Winner R is the machine for deliberate riders who want revs and a clutch; the Cub is for everyone else - including riders who have never touched a clutch lever.

Prices and rental

Cub: 88,353,813 VND list. Winner R: 46,360,000 VND list. Neither is a price-published rental class - contact us to confirm current availability. New-to-Vietnam riders should honestly pick the Cub format first and graduate to the Winner R later; our easiest motorbikes for beginners guide explains the reasoning.
