Both of these Hondas are 125 cc semi-automatic underbones sold by the same manufacturer in the same market - yet one costs nearly three times the other. All figures below come from the official Honda Vietnam product pages (retrieved 23 September 2026).
The engines are almost interchangeable
Super Cub C125: 123.9 cc, 6.87 kW at 7,500 rpm, 10.15 Nm at 5,000 rpm, 1.55 L/100 km, 3.7 L tank. Future 125 FI: 124.9 cc, 6.83 kW at 7,500 rpm, 10.2 Nm at 5,500 rpm, 1.47 L/100 km, 4.6 L tank. Power is effectively identical; the Future posts slightly better economy and carries 0.9 litres more fuel.
Chassis
Super Cub: 109 kg, 780 mm seat, 136 mm clearance, 1,910 x 718 x 1,002 mm - the low, long classic silhouette. Future: 104 kg, 756 mm seat, 133 mm clearance, 1,931 x 711 x 1,083 mm. The Future is lighter and easier to muscle around; the Cub’s proportions are the point of the bike.
The price gap
Super Cub C125: 88,353,813 VND. Future 125 FI: from 30,622,909 VND (both list, retrieved 23 September 2026). Nearly 58 million VND separates them. What the money buys is design heritage, detailing and badge - not speed, not economy, not practicality, where the Future matches or beats it.
Verdict
Buy the Future for transport; buy the Super Cub because you love what it is. There is no wrong answer - they are different products that happen to share an engine class.
