The Blade sits one rung above the Wave Alpha in Honda Vietnam’s underbone line-up: same engine family, slightly sportier bodywork, and - in the Sport version - the braking and wheels that matter most to city riders. As with every review in this series, all specifications come from the official Honda Vietnam Blade product page (retrieved 23 September 2026), and nothing is estimated.

Engine and gearbox

The 109.1 cc single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke produces 6.18 kW at 7,500 rpm and 8.65 Nm at 5,500 rpm, driven through a mechanical four-speed rotary gearbox with both kick-start and electric start. Honda states the engine meets the Euro 3 emission standard. Bore and stroke are 50.0 x 55.6 mm with a 9.0:1 compression ratio.

Economy and weight

Published fuel consumption is 1.85 litres per 100 km from a 3.7-litre tank. Kerb weight depends on the version: 98 kg for the spoked-wheel drum-brake build and 99 kg for the spoked-wheel disc and alloy-wheel versions. The seat is 769 mm high and ground clearance is 141 mm - the highest of Honda’s 110 cc underbones, which matters on Hanoi’s kerbs, broken alley edges and rural tracks.

Versions and brakes

Honda lists three versions - Standard, Special and Sport. The Sport version comes with alloy wheels and a front disc brake; the other versions use a front drum. If you ride daily in dense traffic, the disc-equipped Sport version is the one worth paying for - our disc versus drum brake comparison explains why in detail. All versions share 17-inch wheels (70/90-17 front, 80/90-17 rear) and a 1,920 x 702 x 1,075 mm body on a 1,217 mm wheelbase.

Practical details

An always-on headlight improves visibility day and night, and the 3-in-1 key operates ignition, steering lock and fuel cap together. The instrument panel shows full running information in a modern layout.

Who it suits

Riders who want Wave Alpha simplicity with slightly more ground clearance and, on the Sport version, a front disc. It competes directly with the Yamaha Sirius on price - Sirius review elsewhere in this hub. Contact us to confirm current availability of any model for rental.
