The Honda Blade is one of Vietnam’s cheapest genuine underbones, and the version you pick changes both the brakes and the wheels. Verified Honda VN data (retrieved 23 September 2026) shows two configurations on the current page.

The two versions

  • Spoked wheels, front drum: the base configuration — 98 kg, spoked rims, drum brake at both ends, kick and electric start.
  • Spoked disc / Sport version: 99 kg, alloy wheels on the Sport version, front disc brake, kick and electric start.

Honda lists the Blade from 21,943,737 VND (page list price; retail prices change over time — verify the current figure with a dealer).

What the disc actually buys

A front disc gives firmer, more consistent stopping in the wet and easier modulation during hard braking. Our disc-versus-drum guide covers the mechanics in detail; the short version is that drums work but fade and hold water, while discs self-clean and cool. On a light 98-99 kg bike carrying one rider in city traffic, the drum version remains entirely usable — it is the version most of the country rides.

Alloy versus spoked wheels

Alloy wheels (Sport) never need re-truing and are easier to clean and repair after a pothole; spoked wheels flex more and traditional mechanics can service them anywhere, but bent spokes need attention. Our underbone trim versions explainer covers these packaging decisions across the class.

Which one to pick

Riding two-up, in the wet, or with luggage: the disc Sport version is worth the premium. Solo, fair-weather, budget-first commuting: the drum version is the honest choice and the lighter one at that.
