The Blade and the Wave RSX are Honda Vietnam’s two mid-range 110s - the Blade sells on street-sport styling and the RSX on fuel injection and touring comfort. Both specifications below come from Honda’s own pages (retrieved 23 September 2026).
Engines and gearboxes
Blade: 109.1 cc, air-cooled, Euro 3, 6.18 kW at 7,500 rpm, 8.65 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Wave RSX: 109.2 cc, air-cooled with PGM-FI injection, 6.46 kW at 7,500 rpm, 8.70 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Both are four-speed rotary semi-automatics with kick and electric start. The RSX carries the more modern fuel system; Honda publishes no injection claim for the Alpha, but the Blade’s page also stops short of naming its fuel system - treat any carburettor/injection claim for either model as unverified.
Economy and tank
RSX: 1.56 L/100 km with a 4.0-litre tank. Blade: 1.85 L/100 km with 3.7 litres. The RSX drinks less and carries more - a clear edge for high-mileage riders. Both figures are manufacturer test values; your real consumption depends on Hanoi traffic and throttle habits.
Versions and brakes
This is the Blade’s strength. Honda lists the Blade Sport with alloy wheels and a front disc, alongside spoked-wheel drum and disc versions (98 kg spoked drum, 99 kg spoked disc/alloy). The RSX page does not itemise brake versions. Our alloy-versus-spoked wheels explainer covers why the wheel choice matters on Vietnamese roads.
Price
Blade: 21,943,637 VND list. RSX: 25,664,727 VND list. Neither model is price-published in our rental fleet - contact us to confirm current availability. Choose the Blade for looks and the disc-braked Sport version; choose the RSX for injection, economy and its one-half-helmet U-box.
