Seat height decides whether you flat-foot, tip-toe or wobble at every stop. Vietnam’s underbones cluster in a tight, friendly band - but the differences are real. All figures below are manufacturer-published (retrieved 23 September 2026).
The verified band
Future 125 FI: 756 mm. Wave RSX: 760 mm. Blade: 769 mm. Wave Alpha: 770 mm. Super Cub C125: 780 mm. CBR150R: 788 mm. Winner R: 795 mm. CT125: 800 mm. Yamaha does not publish seat heights for the Sirius RC or Exciter 155 VVA on its current pages - treat any specific figure for those two as unverified.
How to read the numbers
A 10 mm seat-height change is roughly one finger-width of confidence. Going from a 770 mm Wave Alpha to an 800 mm CT125 means measurably less foot at the lights, made worse by the CT’s taller suspension stroke. But seat height alone is not the whole story: width matters (narrow underbones are easier to straddle than wide-saddled scooters), and weight compounds it - our kerb-weights explainer covers that side.
The underbone advantage
Scooters feel lower but many sit taller than they look; underbones pair low published seats with the step-through frame, which is why the format suits shorter riders so well in stop-start traffic.
Rental advice
If you are under about 160 cm, insist on trying the seat at the counter before renting: the Future-class 756 mm and the Wave-class 770 mm both work for most riders, but only your own legs can confirm it. Our price-published Wave class (150,000 VND/day) sits at a manageable 770 mm; contact us to confirm current availability of specific models.
