Honda’s own range forces a question on every underbone buyer: the thoroughly modern fuel-injected 110, or the bigger, torquier 125? All figures below come from the official Honda Vietnam product pages (retrieved 23 September 2026).

Power and torque

Future 125 FI: 124.9 cc, 6.83 kW at 7,500 rpm, 10.2 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Wave RSX: 109.2 cc, 6.46 kW at 7,500 rpm, 8.70 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The Future’s 1.5 Nm torque advantage is the number that matters - it shows up two-up on bridge climbs and with luggage, the exact scenarios our two-up riding guide covers.

Economy and range

Both are PGM-FI. The RSX publishes 1.56 L/100 km from 4.0 L (about 250 km); the Future publishes 1.47 L/100 km - best in Honda’s underbone range - from a 4.6 L tank, giving over 300 km of theoretical range. The bigger bike is also the more frugal one, a rare win-win.

Size and weight

RSX: 98 kg, 760 mm seat, 1,922 x 709 x 1,082 mm, 135 mm clearance, U-box half-helmet storage, 4-in-1 key. Future: 104 kg, 756 mm seat, 1,931 x 711 x 1,083 mm, 133 mm clearance. The RSX stays lighter and slightly better suited to dense-city slicing; the Future’s longer 1,258 mm wheelbase settles better on arterial roads.

Price

Wave RSX from 25,664,727 VND; Future 125 FI from 30,622,909 VND (both list, retrieved 23 September 2026). The step up costs roughly 5 million VND.

Verdict

Stay with the RSX if you ride solo, short and urban; step to the Future for two-up commuting, loads and range. Contact us to confirm current availability for rental.
