Two people on a 100-cc-class bike is normal in Vietnam, but not every underbone carries a passenger equally well. The manufacturers’ pages (retrieved 23 September 2026) give us the numbers that matter: torque, power, wheelbase and weight. What no manufacturer publishes here is a maximum payload - so this guide ranks capability, and never claims a load limit.

What two-up riding demands

A passenger adds mass that the engine must accelerate and the brakes must stop. That makes low-end torque (Nm at low rpm), outright power and a long, stable wheelbase the three key figures.

The verified two-up ranking

Model Torque (peak) Power Wheelbase Seat length clue
Honda CT125 10.9 Nm @ 4,750 rpm 6.76 kW 1258 mm longest bike: 1961 mm
Honda Super Cub C125 10.15 Nm @ 5,000 rpm 6.87 kW 1243 mm 1910 mm
Honda Future 125 FI 10.2 Nm @ 5,500 rpm 6.83 kW 1258 mm 1931 mm
Yamaha Exciter 155 VVA 14.4 Nm @ 8,000 rpm 13.2 kW not published 1975 mm
Honda Winner R 13.5 Nm @ 7,000 rpm 11.5 kW 1277 mm 2013 mm

Reading it honestly

Among the semi-automatics, the Future 125 FI is the rational two-up choice: 125 cc of torque arriving at 5,500 rpm, a long 1258 mm wheelbase and the best economy claim in the range - important because carrying a passenger raises real-world consumption. The CT125 and Super Cub C125 match the torque and add the most usable frames.

Among the manuals, the Exciter 155 and Winner R have power to spare, but their sport ergonomics and higher seat heights make the passenger’s position less comfortable than a family underbone. Yamaha publishes the Exciter’s length (1975 mm) but not its wheelbase on the retrieved page.

Two-up technique

Carrying a passenger changes braking distances and low-speed balance - see our slow-speed control guide for the skills, and never exceed what feels controlled.
