Under 22 million dong: Wave Alpha - the cheapest and lightest at 96 kg, and the definition of the rental-class workhorse.

22-26 million: Blade (Sport version adds alloy wheels and a front disc) or the injected Wave RSX with its U-box.

Around 30 million: Future 125 FI - the most economical bike on this list at 1.47 L/100 km, with the biggest practical tank at 4.6 litres.

Best by purpose

  • Commuting: Wave RSX or Future 125 FI - the two best economy figures Honda publishes.
  • Style: Super Cub C125 - the only heritage bike here.
  • Rough roads and weekend trails: CT125 - 165 mm ground clearance, 800 mm seat, 5.4-litre tank.
