Phone navigation drains fast in Hanoi traffic, so a built-in charging port is a genuinely useful commuter feature. This list is built only from what manufacturer pages state (retrieved 23 September 2026) - port types are often unspecified, and we say so rather than guess.

Verified USB-C ports

  • Honda Vario 125 - USB-C port in the front box
  • Honda SH Mode 125 - USB-C port in the front box
  • Honda Air Blade 125 - USB-C charge port (verified alongside the 23.2-litre bay)
  • Honda Air Blade 160 - USB-C charge port

Verified USB-A or unspecified ports

  • Honda Vario 160 - USB-A port rated 10.5 W (5V, 2.1A) in the left front box
  • Yamaha Janus 125 - USB charging port on current versions
  • Yamaha FreeGo 125 - phone charging port
  • Yamaha Grande - phone charging port

For several models (Yamaha NMAX, NVX, Lexi, Gear, Latte, Honda Lead, SH160i, Vision), the retrieved manufacturer pages did not state a charging port - those are omitted from both lists rather than assumed either way.

Adding charging to any scooter

Most scooters accept an aftermarket USB charger wired to the battery - our USB chargers guide covers what to buy and the electrical basics, and our phone mounts guide covers where to put the phone legally (phone use while riding is a fineable distraction - our article covers the rules).

Renting

Charging ports on rental scooters vary by model and year. Contact us to confirm current availability, and ask about the specific bike you would receive.
