What the numbers mean

  • Performance: the Janus’s larger engine produces slightly more power and torque at lower revs; the Vision compensates with gearing tuned for the city. Both are city scooters - neither is a tourer.
  • Weight: identical at 97 kg - the lightest class on the market, which our light motorbikes for new riders guide covers.
  • Economy: the Vision’s published consumption is lower, and its bigger tank gives it a longer range between stops. See the fuel economy comparison for the full class picture.
  • Wheels: the Vision’s 16-inch front wheel gives more stability over potholes (our 16-inch wheel guide explains why); the Janus’s 14-inch wheels sharpen low-speed agility.
  • Price: Yamaha lists the Janus from 29,151,000 VND against Honda’s Vision listing from 31,506,545 VND - manufacturer suggested retail, retrieved 23 September 2026.

Which should you choose?

Choose the Vision for the bigger tank, lower published consumption and larger front wheel. Choose the Janus for the larger engine at a lower list price and its 3-year/30,000 km warranty. If you can, sit on both - seat shape matters as much as seat height. And if you are renting rather than buying: the Vision is one of Nguyen Tu’s price-published models (200,000 VND/day); for the Janus, contact us to confirm current availability.
