The Vision and the Lead are Honda’s two biggest-selling city scooters, and they split the market cleanly: the Vision is the light default commuter, the Lead is the cargo specialist. Both comparisons below use only Honda Vietnam’s published figures (retrieved 23 September 2026).

Engine

Vision: 109.5 cc air-cooled eSP engine, 6.59 kW at 7,500 rpm, 9.29 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Lead: 124.8 cc liquid-cooled engine, 8.22 kW at 8,500 rpm, 11.7 Nm at 5,250 rpm. The Lead is stronger everywhere in the range - the practical difference shows up two-up or on bridges; alone in city traffic both feel adequate. Our 110 vs 125 explainer covers the licence and insurance angles of the class step.

Weight and size

Vision: 97 kg, seat 785 mm, 16-inch front wheel. Lead: 114 kg, seat 760 mm, 12/10-inch wheels. The Vision is easier to paddle through jams and park on kerbs; the Lead’s lower seat helps shorter riders despite the extra 17 kg - our seat-height table has the numbers.

Fuel economy

Vision: 1.82 L/100 km published from a 4.8-litre tank. Lead: 2.1 L/100 km from a 6.0-litre tank. The Vision is the cheaper horse to feed; the Lead carries more fuel, so tank-to-tank range is closer than the economy gap suggests.

Storage - the Lead’s kingdom

Vision: a modest underseat bay storage comparison. Lead: 37 litres - two full-face helmets, the largest bay of any scooter in our verified data. If your scooter doubles as a shopping trolley or delivery platform, the Lead wins outright; Honda also offers an ABS version of the Lead.

Price position

Honda positions the Vision below the Lead family; at retail the Air Blade family starts at 42,404,727 VND and the Lead sits in the same bracket above the Vision.

Renting either

The Vision is one of Nguyen Tu’s price-published models: 200,000 VND per day, 800,000-1,000,000 VND per week, 1,800,000-2,000,000 VND per month. The Lead is not price-published - contact us to confirm current availability. Before you ride: the rental inspection checklist, and the licence note that both capacity classes fall under the same A1 rules explained in our licence guides.
