The Weaver and the Weaver 200 are the same idea at two scales: an A1-licence underbone electric for Vietnamese roads. The comparison between them is almost entirely about range — and the official numbers make the gap unusually clear.

What the upgrade buys
The Weaver 200 doubles the claimed range and, just as importantly, changes the charging curve: an hour restores the first 100 km of claimed range, so a lunch stop meaningfully refills the machine. Add the published durability story (the 150,000 km battery-life claim, 3-year battery warranty and 48-hour nationwide on-site service) and the 200 is not just longer-legged — it is the more completely specified product on paper.
The Weaver’s remaining argument is the classic one: fewer of everything means less to buy and less to maintain for a rider whose day never exceeds its 100 km claim. A commute of 20 km a day never meets the 200’s advantages.
Who should pick which
- Weaver: A1 holders with city-scale days, buying the simplest version of the format. Review.
- Weaver 200: riders whose week includes long commutes, intercity sections or delivery-style duty — anyone who has ever watched a range display with concern. Review.
The next question for 200-class buyers is whether the step to the Weaver++’s fast charging is worth more than the base 200’s simplicity — covered in the Weaver 200 vs Weaver++ comparison. Rental availability of either: contact us to confirm current availability.
