Charging in Hanoi is now a solved problem for most riders — provided you match your bike’s fuel model to the right place.

1. Where you park (the best charger)

A household or building socket remains the cheapest, most reliable charge point in the city. If home or work offers one, your routine is finished before it starts: park, plug, forget.

2. Battery-swap cabinets

For VinFast’s swap-ready models (Evo, Feliz II, Viper), V-Green cabinets exchange your flat 1.5 kWh LFP pack for a full one at 9,000 VND per battery per swap. The network installed its first 4,500 stations by January 2026 and plans 45,000 cabinets across 34 provinces and cities by Q1 2026 — concentrated exactly where riders are. Swapping is the answer for street-parkers and high-mileage users.

3. Fast-charging stations

Dat Bike riders use the Dat Charge network: the Weaver++ claims 100 km of range from a 20-minute session, aimed at long trips and rescue charges rather than daily needs. Locate stations in the Dat Bike app before you need one.

4. Everything else

Coffee shops, hotels and apartment basements increasingly offer sockets as a courtesy — ask, do not assume, and never run cables across shared space without permission. Public charger availability for two-wheelers beyond the networks above is still sparse; treat socket access as a negotiated privilege, not an entitlement.

Planning rules

  • Know your real-world range at city pace before you leave a charger behind you.
  • For a day of heavy riding, plan the return charge before the first departure, not when the gauge is low.
  • If you cannot charge where you park and your model has no swap option, Hanoi is still hard for you — choose the fuel model before the bike.
