What this means when renting

A smart key changes your responsibilities slightly: you carry a fob rather than a metal key, the bike locks itself when you walk away, and losing the fob is more expensive than losing a key. On rentals, always confirm at pickup how the system works - how to start, how to open the seat, what the warning sounds mean - and keep the fob somewhere secure. Things smart keys do not do
